Professional tennis player Jasmina Tinjić gets 6-year ban for fixing matches

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) suspended Jasmina Tinjić for six years for fixing matches. Tinjić admitted to 23 breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP), including manipulating match outcomes, facilitating betting, and not reporting corrupt approaches. She did not contest charges related to corrupt activity in 2017 and 2018. An investigation revealed Tinjić accepted a bribe and fixed matches in multiple countries.

During the period of ineligibility, Tinjić is prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association. The tennis player was also fined $20,000.
